Malcolm Little a.k.a. Malcolm X a.k.a Al Hajj Malik al-Shabazz (1925-1965):




Born: 19th May 1925 in an hospital in Omaha as Malcolm Little



Died: murdered at a mass meeting in Harlem by fantatic
Black Muslims


Family: father - reverend Earl Little - was a Baptist preacher and a member of a Negro organisisation, the U.N.I.A (Universal Negro Improvement Association)

mother - Louise Little - was born in Grenada, Caribbean Sea

two half sisters - Ella and Mary

one half brother - Earl

his full brothers and sisters - Wilfred, Hilda, Philbert (who were all older than him) and Reginald, Yvonne, Wesley and Robert (who all were born after him).

wife - (Betty X alias Betty Shabazz) and

four children - (Attilah, Qubilah, Ilyasah, Amilah).



Short Life History: as a little boy he was beaten by his father;
As a teenager he wished to be white;
After his father was „found dead“ Malcolm was traveling from family to family till he moved to Harlem, New York.
There he became criminal and was caught from the police during doing crime.
During his stay in jail Malcolm red lots of books and after he came out he admitted himself to the muslim religion and entered the black moslem movement leaded by Elijah Muhammad.
There changed his surname from Little to X.
After some time he left the organisation and grounded his own group -.the Organisation of Afro-American Unity.
In 1964 Malcolm pilgrimated to Mecca and took the name Al Hajj Malik al-Shabazz
In 1965 he was shot in Harlem, New York during performing a speech.
