In an emergency meeting on 9th of August, 2020, Polish president Andrzej Duda said that "in order to bring peace to the region of Belarus, Poland will secure the western portion of Belarus, including the cities of Grodno, Brest and Pinsk."
"This is only a peace-keeping measure, and is in no way permanent. As soon as the situation in Belarus calms down, our forces will be withdrawn."
Polish reservers are reportedly being mobilized all around the country
