Наткнулся тут неожиданно на новый "интернет"-альбомчик этих, на мой взгляд, довольно неплохих персонажей. Так как в теме этой про них самих нихуя нет толком, то посвящаю сей пост информации по ним и последнему альбому (со ссылочкой, естественно). Поехали
General info:
Nappy Roots is an American hip hop sextet that originated in Kentucky in 1995 and is best known for its hit 2002 single "Awnaw". The group's music can be categorized as alternative Southern rap.
The members of the group met while studying at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The group consists of Oakland, California native R. Prophet, Milledgeville, Georgia native Fishscales and Kentucky natives Skinny DeVille, B. Stille, Ron Clutch, Big V. Their debut album Country Fried Cess was released in 1999. Eventually, they were signed to the major label Atlantic Records and rose to fame with their first album on the label, 2002's Watermelon, Chicken & Gritz. The album featured the singles "Headz up", "Awnaw" (whose remix featured Marcos Curiel) and "Po' Folks" (featuring Anthony Hamilton). They were each honoured with the title of Kentucky Colonel and Governor of Kentucky Paul E. Patton declared September 16, 2002 as "Nappy Roots Day".
Their next album Wooden Leather, released in 2003, featured the singles "Roun' the Globe" which was featured on Madden 2004, and "Sick and Tired" (featuring Anthony Hamilton). After that album, they left Atlantic and went back to being independent artists. However in 2007 there has been news that they have signed a deal with Universal Music.
On July 31st, the group has released an Internet Album titled Innerstate Music featuring singles Good Day and Keep It Real. It is their first release as independent artists. Innerstate is intended to be a precursor to their 2008 album, entitled "The Humdinger" will be released February 2008.

Мне альбомчик понравился. Ровный, как и прошлые релизы. Хоть и нет прям шедевров, но слушается приятно и на репит просится. Особенно края альбома понравились, а середина неособо вкатила. В выходные выложу две их прошлых работы и всё вместе суну во флэйву.
ПС: научите кто-нить картинку вставлять в текст, а то не нашёл как это сделать...все теги перепробовал...
