Juelz Santana explains that industry politics are to blame for the delay of his LP with Lil Wayne 'I Can't Feel My Face'.

In a recent interview with VladTV, Juelz Santana discussed the numerous delays that have trapped his long-awaited collaboration LP with Lil Wayne I Can't Feel My Face in industry limbo. The Diplomats alum explained that the hold-ups are not due a rift in his relationship with the Young Money star; rather, he explains that industry politics have kept the album from being released.

"The industry is a very political business," said Santana. "You know, when you're dealing with politics, a lot goes on. If you look, T-Pain and Lil Wayne's album didn't come out. T-Wayne. So, it was nothing between me and Wayne. Wayne is my brother, shout-out to Weezy, Free Weezy all day. I'm actually supposed to see him this weekend coming up - I gotta go see him. I wouldn't even feel like it's right if I didn't go see him. I'm too close to him not to go see him and that's my dude, that's my homie."

Juelz also discussed his initial reaction to the arrest that led to Weezy's year long incarceration. He feels that the arrest may be profiling by the Hip Hop police, saying that perhaps Wayne's bus should have been pulled without justification.

"I was more mad the situation went down the way it went down," he said. "Boy came [to New York], did a big concert, and I'm sure some of the officers had kids [and] family members in that concert. At the end of the day, man did his concert, leaves, gets on his bus. I don't understand what's the reason you pulling this man's bus over? New York is big with this 'Hip Hop police' thing, and it's just...sometimes, we get treated like criminals and we don't even do nothing."

Juelz Santana Speaks On "Reagan Era" Mixtape, New Album

Juelz Santana plans on releasing his new album Born to Lose, Built to Win by December, but he plans on dropping his Reagan Era mixtape ahead of time. Speaking with RealHipHopDaily, the Dipset member explained that he’s putting the “finishing touches” on the mixtape at the moment and that he plans to drop it on a holiday.

“It’s been about four years since my last album, so I really want to just roll this out the right way. I got my mixtape coming, Reagan Era, long-awaited, better late than never, well worth it. I apologize, but when you get it, you’re definitely going to be satisfied,” he said. “No specific date, but I want to make it something, so I’ma definitely pick a holiday or something, drop it on a special day. So probably whatever the next good, decent holiday is to gear up. But you’re definitely going to know, there’s going to be a whole bunch of commercials and shit leading up to that.”

He also announced his ambitious plans to film a music video for every song on the mixtape, which includes unreleased material as well as newly recorded tracks. “I’m going to shoot a video for every song on the mixtape. My mixtape is going to pretty much like an album. A lot of songs, a lot of unreleased music. I’ma put a lot of freestyles out and I’m going to get back to the radio.”

Juelz Santana Plans To Release Two Mixtapes Before "Born To Lose, Built To Win" LP

Last fall, Juelz Santana revealed that he planned to drop his Reagan Era mixtape on a holiday, followed by his Def Jam album Born to Lose, Built to Win in December. But after both projects failed to surface, the Dipset member now assures that fans will have plenty of new music to add to their collections.

During an interview with RTNY, the Harlem, New York native revealed that Reagan Era will release next month and that he will drop a sequel before putting out Born to Lose, Built to Win in the fourth quarter of 2012.
