-Цитата от what.cd I first discovered LA-based Hip Hop/Electronic/Tripped-out beats producer DJ Frane back in the summer of 2004, just after his second full-length, "Earthly Delights", was released on Tuff City Massive. I was so impressed that I immediately went out and grabbed his first release "Frane's Fantastic Boatride (Or Beats To Blaze To Volume 1)" and was blown away once again. DJ Frane has a truly unique style of "ganja-induced" production that includes storytelling, rare samples and hypnotic beats that will take you on an aural adventure into Frane's brilliant imagination. His new album, Journey To The Planet Of Birds, is equally as impressive as the first two, showcasing Frane's trademark innovative style of heady hip-hop beats that meander seamlessly from track to track. You may want to light up a blunt before this one..
особенно верно подмечено: "impressive as the
-Цитата от discogs/last.fm He gained recognition as a DJ through his mixtapes and his acrobatic turntable solos opening for rappers like Doug E. Fresh, Medusa, and Tha Liks. He made underground beats for members of Warren G's G-Funk clique. He honed his musical chops collaborating with funk legends like Mandrill and Blowfly. And now DJ Frane earns his acclaim producing instrumental concept albums that sound like nothing youve ever heard. His first solo album, Frane's Fantastic Boatride (or beats to blaze to volume 1), was released on Goodvibe Recordings and became a college radio favorite. Used for the joint-smoking scene in the film Romeo Must Die, it also became the soundtrack for real-life herb smoking sessions around the world and was named Best Record to Freestyle Over by Vice Magazine. The album cover was created by Mike Shinoda, rapper for Linkin Park.
